Another day in paradise (aka Kirkwall Airport)

I thought Wednesday morning had a sunrise that was beautiful until this morning.  Christina from Security came to the desk this morning asking if I had seen the sunrise.  I, of course hadn't and wasn't paying attention so I went to have a look as it was quiet.  This is what I saw

The arty farty side of me came to the fore and I thought it would be nice to get a pic of the terminal in the sunrise and this is the result

And finally to get back on a spotters theme, the sky burst into flame and I caught this PA30 taking off into the sunrise.

Now that's one hell of a sunrise, I tell you what Neil: If everyone wake up and see something like that, our planet would be a better place to live :)

Hi Rui

Thanks for the visit. We have had about a month of stable weather, reasonably dry with temps between 8-15 centigrade.

These sunrises are not the norm but sure make the day interesting.

oh boy...sunrise is to soon for me :-) Very nice photos specially the second one, and with a good edition it could well be on a aviation photography website ;-)
